ACCIDENTAL HEROES
"THE STARS OUR DESTINATION"
(INFRARED)
5LP/CD
[RELEASE: MAY 2002]
Accidental Heroes
launch their debut album project through the high profile
J-Majik owned Infra Red Records. Having been
building their rep on a variety of labels, prior to setting up
their own Science Fiction label at the tail end of last year,
Jasper Byrne and Dean Fletcher (aka
Accidental Heroes/Sonic & Silver/Supply & Demand)
have made quantum leaps in the recent past. Since working with
Formation Records since their forming in 1999, they have
followed up their strong work with an explosive selection of
new cuts featuring on labels such as Trouble On Vinyl,
Reinforced, Emotif, Timeless, L-Plates, DSCI4, Renegade
Hardware, Metalheadz and many more.
J-Majik
started the Infra Red label in 1994, initially as an outlet for his
more experimental material. Within a short years, Infra Red have
gained household status within the scene, at which point the debut album
‘Slow Motion’ from J-Majik was released. After the UK Top 40 single
‘Love Is Not A Game’ (later licensed by Defected Records), Infra Red
Records continued to supply with the ‘Infrastructure’ album.
‘The Stars Our Destination’
– Accidental Heroes’ debut album – shows a class and depth of talent
way beyond their years, and works as both a dancefloor moving vinyl version
and a strong listening album for the CD version, featuring a number of
different tempos, ambient intros with the aim of being a concept album that
will lead the listener on a journey. This album will push Accidental
Heroes to the forefront of the pack of new producers who are coming
through at present, and it fits perfectly into the house influenced dynamic
J-Majik created for the label last year with ‘Love Is Not A Game’ and
his ‘Spaced Invader’ remix.
