Legendary drum’n’bass label Metalheadz release their newest compilation ‘MDZ.02’, featuring all exclusive tracks from today’s greats in the drum’n’bass scene.

Possibly the most popular drum’n’bass label, Goldie’s Metalheadz Records unleash the next in the series of their anticipated compilations, and follows the ‘Metalbox’ from a few years back with a round up of artists who are currently carrying the credentials to record for this highly regarded label. This also follows last year’s ‘Platinum Breaks 3’ compilation for Pete Tong’s FFRR label.

Metalheadz Records is a label that always looks to push the boundaries, taking people on a completely unique musical journey. Founded in 1993 by Goldie and long-time friend Doc Scott, the idea was simple – a label that had no sound and an endless catalogue of timeless tracks…

‘MDZ.02’ features all exclusive tracks, and this collection encompasses the full spectrum of the drum’n’bass scene at present from the melodic (Marcus Intalex, Invaderz) to the tech-steppy (Spirit, Loxy & Ink) to the techno (Teebee) to the deep (Klute, Hidden Agenda) with plenty of dancefloor goodness (Jonny L, Future Cut, Sonic & Silver, Total Science, and Usual Suspects).

Selected by Goldie who set the label up with Doc Scott back in 1993, the album is available on six-piece DJ-friendly vinyl and double CD set, including one CD unmixed and one CD mixed (courtesy of Goldie with additional tracks). Without a doubt, ‘MDZ.02’ is going to be the drum’n’bass compilation of the year!
