Boxcutter to deliver on Hotflush
Boxcutter (real name Barry Lynn) makes the kind of weighty productions that share the broad appeal of Burial or Vex'd, while keeping one foot firmly planted in the more melodic, electro-centred margins of the genre. For his latest Hotflush 12", Boxcutter delivers yet again two fantastic tracks from his array of sounds: On the A-side is 'Philly', a jazzier number with an syncopated assault of crisp drums, as featured on Hotflush's compilation 'space And Time'. It is backed with 'Endothermic', a tune drifting more on the laid-back side, with dazzling warm synths and a deep bassline.

Bitchee Bitchee Ya Ya deliver on Kitsune
The mysterious Bitchee Bitchee Ya Ya Ya release their first single 'Fuck Friend' in mid December with remixes by CSS, Yuksek & Brodinski and the infamous Iggor Cavalera as MixHell. Kitsuné don’t know much about Bitchee Bitchee Ya Ya Ya. They know that it didn’t take long until Bitchee and Ya Ya Ya caught everybody’s attention in the blogosphere. They ended up being listed on the internet all around the world thanks to their debut remixes of ‘Office Boy’ for Bonde Do Role (Domino) and the ones to come for Au Revoir Simone, The Whip and Cazals. Being compared to ‘dance machines’, ‘Fuck Friend’ is easily recognisable, thanks to the enormous sounds between lo-fi and post-punk, metronomic distorted drums, some vintage keyboards, very heavy basslines and Bitchee’s crystal-like voice singing melodies inspired by what they call candy-pop music, meaning cute songs sung by cute people.

Breakage returns to Bassbin imprint
Following on from his massive single on Digital Soundboy, Breakage (real name Jamie Boyle) returns home to Bassbin in early December with a very diverse EP. The 12" opens with ‘Hindsight’, an amen dubwise roller in the same vein as ‘So Vain’ with a huge bassline alongside vocal snippets of Horace Andy. Next up is a rework of ‘Losing Track’ (one of the highlights off ‘This Too Shall Pass’ album) with a rhythym which is fresh and inspired. 'Lightweight' is a dark, sparse and deep roller with touches of hardcore in the beats. And the EP is nicely rounded off with the dubby ‘Come Back’, another delve into the half time world of drum'n'bass that Breakage is making a speciality.

Cyantific get 'Disconnected'
Pound for pound Hospital’s best producers have come to show you their muscle. Make sure you have got ringside seats as Cyantific bring you two dancefloor TKOs in late November. Compromising is for the weak as ‘Disconnected’ hits you like a Panzer tank division. 16 bars of bongo boogie is all that’s needed by way of an introduction before an angry barrage of sub bass and metallic stabs which hit you hard. Flipping things over for ‘Serpent’ - straight out of the jungle. A melee of bass and beats seems to have enraged the animals as this one drops like a knife fight in the monkey pit at London zoo. ’Roided up to the max, this is a beefier, harder Cyantific. Scared!? You should be!

Rogue State teams up with Daddy Freddy
The latest vinyl produced by Rogue State has been announced for a mid November release on the R8 Records imprint. The A-side ‘Very Dangerous’ is quirky but still very dark and features the world's fastest rapper Daddy Freddy. On the other side is ‘Wiked And Bad’, a grimey one with a unique vocal hook provided by 14-year old Sheffield MC Road Runner and a gnarly and gravel soaked bassline. Also on the second side is ‘Bouncestep’, perhaps Rogue State’s daftest tune to date which compels ravers to dance like chickens.

Sugardaddy is the underground side-project of Tom Findlay (one half of million-selling dance act Groove Armada). Out in mid November, 'Stripped To The Bone' (the follow up to the huge selling 2005 club favourite ‘Love Honey’) is an excursion into proper house music – sounding like a long lost Sound Factory anthem given a modern twist. Perspex drop debut from Chef duo
Following the huge Gabriel Ananda mix of The Subliminal Kid comes the debut 12” on Perspex from Parisian rising stars Chef. Out in mid November, the Chef duo doesn’t disappoint with ‘Toccating’, an electro-disco-jump up anthem centering around a spiralling harpsichord and jacking acid house bassline. Innovative and quirky, but with plenty of dance-floor kick, it’s a stand out track in a sea of identikit minimaltechwhatever. The remix on the B-side from Danish wunderkid Tomboy will literally blow the roof off with added hoovers and a twisted trancey synth line.

Benga lands dubstep anthem of 2007
Without any question, this is the dubstep anthem of 2007, possibly even a bigger anthem than Skream’s legendary late 2005 ‘Midnight Request Line’. Out mid November on the Tempa imprint, ’Night’ is actually a joint effort from Benga and Coki (one half of DMZ). On depart from the sound of the pair's previous productions, ’Night’ has a crazily infectious melody.
