The horizon leans forward, offering you space to place new steps of change...
Renegade Recordings has always maintained a seamless affinity with soulful drum'n'bass, constantly releasing music with a touch of jazz, soul and funk flavours.
Times change and so have the sounds. The early Renegade was distinctly built around organic break work and atmospheres, but as dance floors persisted the sound some what shifted towards a generic two-step beat.
Now as the label reaches its 12th year it brings forward its seventh long player. Taking on the original concept of the label, its in-betweens and the current climate that Renegade has reached, Renegade approaches a new beginning and rejuvenation with ‘New Horizons’.
The CD encapsulates the new direction and sound that Renegade is keen to push. Vocals, heavy edited break workouts, moody and soulful rollers and funk flavours, blended effortlessly by Phobia.
