Barbara is dedicated to the hard-edge house and hard techno which is
based in part to her early taste for hard music.
2002 has
been Misstress Barbara’s year (Miss-Stress – as in name, as in
nature). It is twelve months since the release of her Trust The DJ
debut ‘MB 01’ and her explosive new compilation, ‘MB 02’ is with us.
Barbara
has secured residencies at “God’s Kitchen” in the UK and “Metro” in Spain,
as well as regularly touring Europe making her an essential fixture on both
sides of the pond. Her label, Relentless Recordings, has also gone from
strength to strength with releases including Misstress Barbara vs.
Barbara Brown ‘Vol. 1’ and ‘Never Could Have Your Heart’. This frantic
level of activity is exactly what we have come to expect from Carl Cox’s
protégée?
