Annie Nightingale is the first and remains best known female DJ. She was the first ever on BBC Radio 1, from where her current show is heard all over the world live and online. She is now known as the ‘Queen Of Breaks’, having championed breakbeat electronic music. Her Radio 1 show won 'Best Radio Show' in both the 2006 and 2007 'Breakspoll Awards', voted for by more than 50,000 fans.
